2016 National DEC Legislative Summit
We need you to attend our annual NDEC Legislative Summit in Washington, D.C. where we will discuss and advocate for the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP)!
We have a fight on our hands and it will take all of us working together to see this through. Your Senators and Representatives need to hear from you because the cry against the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) is a loud one. Join other DEC members to learn about and discuss how TPP can help your business grow and export.
We are planning a morning session at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in the Lee Anderson Room. during which we will have a panel of experts discuss the good that TPP will do and the support it will lend to American Exporters. That afternoon we will have the opportunity to go up to Capitol Hill to meet with our respective elected officials and/or staff to discuss their Support for TPP.
We need Members of Congress to hear your stories about the role current free trade agreements play in growing and supporting export jobs in your local community. Plus the U.S. Chamber of Commerce will be able to pre-set up your appointments for you with your elected officials for your afternoon trip to capitol hill. You can then use the congressional form to submit your story.
TPP will be going up for a vote in congress. Time is growing short and we need your voices to help secure TPP gets approved. This is so that businesses like yours, can continue to provide jobs and economic growth in communities across our country. With 18,000 tax cuts on made-in-America exports on the line, you can’t afford to leave this up to congress to decide. Make your voice heard on april19th and join us for this exciting and powerful opportunity!
We hope you can join us at this important event.
